Excitement, worries, big feelings, separation, confidence wobbles, friendships, sleep changes, and endless questions are all completely normal. But many parents wonder: How do I help my child feel confident about school? What if they’re anxious or shy? How can I prepare them without putting pressure on them? What do I do if they struggle with separation or big emotions? Reception Ready is a warm, playful and reassuring workshop designed to help children starting Reception in September feel more confident and emotionally prepared, while giving parents practical tools to support them through this important transition. A School Starter Workshop for Children and Parents Suitable for children starting Reception in September 2026 This fun and interactive session combines play, stories and simple emotional wellbeing activities to help children: ✓ Build confidence about starting school ✓ Explore feelings and worries in a safe and playful way ✓ Develop emotional awareness and simple calming tools ✓ Feel excited and prepared for their new adventure Parents attend alongside their child, giving you the opportunity to understand how to support them before September arrives. Parents Will Receive A FREE copy of The Parent's Guide to Big Feelings A practical guide packed with strategies to help you respond calmly and confidently to your child's emotions. You'll also receive: Practical tips for supporting school readiness at home. Guidance around separation anxiety and common worries. Ways to build confidence and independence without pressure. Conversation starters and playful ideas to use over the summer. Signposts to further support if needed. Why Emotional Preparation Matters Starting school is about much more than recognising letters or writing names. Children thrive when they feel: Safe Confident Connected Emotionally secure Research shows that emotional wellbeing and secure relationships support children's ability to adapt, learn and develop resilience. Preparing children emotionally can make the transition smoother for the whole family. Workshop Details 📍 Location: Little Piggies Cafe, Bognor Regis 📅 Date: 12/08/26 ⏰ Time: 10-11 am 👧 Suitable for children starting Reception in September 2026 👨👩👧 One ticket includes one child and one parent/carer 👥 Limited to 8 families to keep the group small and supportive 💷 £40 per family

Cancellation Policy
Booking Policy Booking and Payment * Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your child's place. * Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. * A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received. Cancellations and Refunds * Due to limited places and the costs involved in venue hire, resources and preparation, all bookings are non-refundable. * If your child is unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. In some circumstances, we may be able to offer a transfer to a future workshop at our discretion, but this cannot be guaranteed. Cancellation by Organisers * In the unlikely event that the workshop needs to be cancelled by the organisers, parents/carers will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date. Health, Additional Needs and Allergies * Parents/carers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding allergies, medical conditions and any additional needs when booking. * We are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment and will do our best to make reasonable adjustments where possible. Participation and Wellbeing * Children are never expected to speak in front of the group or share anything they do not wish to. * We aim to provide a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all attendees. Safeguarding * The safety and wellbeing of all children attending is our priority. As safeguarding professionals, we have a duty to act on any concerns relating to a child's safety or welfare in line with safeguarding procedures.
